““For most people, ‘smart home’ evokes either complicated theater systems or needless bells and whistles,” says Carley. “I want to create intelligent homes— where technology and beauty work in concert to improve people’s lives without compromising a home’s aesthetic or budget.””
Meet your home technology expert
Carley Knobloch has long been a fixture in the field as a home technology TV personality, appearing regularly on the Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda and as the HGTV Smart Home guru. But when a washing machine disaster forced a complete home renovation, Carley discovered her passion for remodeling and unique perspective at the intersection of design and smart home technology. Now, she bridges the gap between architects, interior designers, and home automation specialists to create living spaces that harmoniously blend beauty and functionality.
Her career started in design, building websites for the movie studios in Hollywood and teaching web design at Art Center College of Design. She then went on to build a 15 year career as a tech expert through her Webby-nominated show Digitwirl and website CarleyK.com. Through her work with premiere brands like LG, Samsung, Amazon, Google, Citibank and so many more, to her work with the NKBA, CEDIA Expo and the International Housewares Show, Carley has been trendspotting and reporting on the evolution of technology for over a decade.
