Welcome to Warren Road

We create bespoke technology solutions that make your home brilliant and elevate everyday life.

Our ethos

For most people, when I say “smart home” it either evokes a tricked out home theater system, or needless bells and whistles that are pricey, complicated, and swiftly outdated.

It’s time to tell a different story.

I want to bring education and utilization of home technology to homeowners that add tremendous value to their lives by optimizing their environment. This can only happen if solutions are tailor-made for a family after getting to know their needs, their goals, and their routines. There are so many solutions from the world of technology that won’t compromise a home’s aesthetic or budget but will add so much value to how you live. Let’s explore them together.

Bridging the gap between architects, interior designers and home automation specialists, I can present beautiful and life-changing solutions for your family, and empower you to use them with confidence and comfort. Because with a bespoke home technology solution, your home won’t be smart, it will be brilliant.

It's been beyond helpful to have Carley bridge the gap between tech, style and function in our home. While anyone can have an aesthetically beautiful house - does it function well? How will it age? How does it help make the homeowners life better?! These are all questions that Carley helps find answers to. We value Carley's knowledge of the market, her eye for function & her creativity with beautiful solution-based options." — Kim & Fernando K., homeowners

Expertise

  • Assessing the needs of your family and budget to identify laundry and kitchen appliance options that enhance your life and add unique value. Whether your goal is healthy cooking, combatting allergies, or elevating the look of your space, informed choices that align with your vision are paramount. Plus, we’ll make sure you have a solid command of what you’ve purchased and all it’s pertinent features so you have confidence in what you’ve purchased.

  • Your home can play a significant role in your wellness trajectory. “Home health” is a holistic approach to wellness that gives your home a participatory role. Whether that means cleaner water and indoor air, less exposure to toxic materials, or the addition of fitness and spa features, your home can help you meet your nutrition, fitness and restorative goals if it’s outfitted with the right accoutrements.

  • Lighting can do so much more than illuminate a room. Human-centric lighting prioritizes individual well-being through tailored solutions that can boost mood and productivity during the day and optimize your natural circadian rhythms to enhance sleep at night. Best of all, systems work in the background so you don’t have to think, just experience the benefits.

  • When automated blinds, a smart thermostat, skylights, and fans all work together, they create a home environment that dynamically adjusts to improve comfort in the most energy efficient way. A home that regulates itself and can adapt to your needs throughout the day depending on the weather and your presence in the room.

  • Many advancement in home security, thanks to help of AI, make 24 surveillance and protection possible at a resonable price point. Layers of security, like smart locks, cameras, window film, and smart shades and lighting systems, all work in concert to keep your home safe and your privacy protected.

Meet Carley

“Technology should recede into the background of your home, but make a major contribution.

Carley Knobloch, founder of Warren Road, transforms houses into brilliantly responsive homes where technology whispers rather than shouts. Carley has long been a fixture in the field as a home technology TV personality, appearing regularly on the Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda and as HGTV’s Smart Home guru. But when a washing machine disaster forced a complete home renovation, Carley discovered her passion for remodeling and unique perspective at the intersection of design and smart home technology. Now, she bridges the gap between architects, interior designers, and home automation specialists to create living spaces that harmoniously blend beauty and functionality.

Her career started in design, building websites for many of the movie studios in Hollywood and teaching classes to budding web designers at Art Center College of Design. She then went on to build a 15 year career as a tech expert through her Webby-nominated show Digitwirl and website CarleyK.com. Through her work with premiere brands like LG, Samsung, Amazon, Google, Citibank and so many more, to her work with the NKBA, CEDIA Expo and the International Housewares Show, Carley has been trendspotting and reporting on the evolution of technology for over a decade. This spring, she will add “lighting designer” to her growing list of qualifications, and is anxious to begin specifying optimal lighting plans for her clients.

"For most people, 'smart home' evokes either complicated theater systems or needless bells and whistles," says Carley. "I want to create intelligent homes— where technology and beauty work in concert to improve people's lives without compromising a home's aesthetic or budget."

Her home’s feature in Good Housekeeping exemplifies her philosophy that truly intelligent homes feel easier to live in, not more complicated. She has also been featured in other publications such as Redbook, Bloomberg Businessweek, Elle Decor, and Real Simple.
